Hello there!

Thank you for visiting my site. This is my blog where I share interesting things related to architecture, traveling and everyday things occurring in my life :)

Laszlo Hudec

My favourite architect in Shanghai

As the history seems repeating itself, a century ago Shanghai attracted many talents around the world and like several other foreign architects after the First World War, Laszlo Hudecz the Hungarian - Slovakian born architect made his way to Shanghai in 1918 at age 25 via captivity in Siberia. He became one of the most significant architects of the Chinese city in the upcoming decades with his unique approach and style.

One week in Japan

Japan has been a place to me that I always wanted to visit but had never believed that once I will actually be able to. Also never thought to see Tadao Ando in live and there was him in December 2014 giving a speech in his recently completed Poly Grand Theatre in Shanghai.

Living in Shanghai brought me closer to opportunities that I have only dreamed of. The only 2.5 hours flight to Tokyo was one of them.
